The Election Commission has announced that over 4,000 individuals have successfully re-registered to vote in the upcoming parliamentary elections. A total of 5,202 forms were submitted by prospective voters as of yesterday afternoon.

While the majority of applications were accepted, 484 were rejected due to various reasons. However, a significant number of 4,718 individuals were successfully re-registered to cast their votes in the upcoming elections.

Among the re-registered voters, 656 individuals opted to vote abroad, showcasing the diverse participation expected in the electoral process.

Originally slated for the 17th of this month, the parliamentary elections have been rescheduled to take place on the 21st of next month following the amendment to the Election Act. This adjustment provides ample time for voters to ensure their participation in shaping the nation's political landscape.
