The National Awards Committee will open nominations for the "National Award for Public Service" on Sunday, February 25, and publish the award criteria in the Government Gazette, announced the President's Office, today.
Any individual who has worked in a government office, agency, or subsidiary where the Government holds the most shares for over 35 years is eligible for the award. Nominations may be filed by organizations or by individual nominees.
The President will award a shield, a badge of honor, and a certificate as an award for service to the Government.
The National Awards Committee would consider the quality of the nominees’ work and their contributions to the development of their respective fields. The award would also recognize the nominees’ achievements.
According to the President's Office, the nominations will be accepted through the designated portal for the award.
