President Dr Mohamed Muizzu on Wednesday vowed to end the long history of neglect faced by Kolhumadulu Atoll. He committed while speaking with the residents of Kandoodhoo Island in Kolhumadulu Atoll.
President Dr Muizzu elaborated on his commitment, stating that he would ensure that Kolhumadulu receives development opportunities akin to other atolls and consists of developed islands. The President added that the Maldivian economy was in ruins when he came into office and that the Administration has since implemented measures to remedy the situation. Furthermore, he emphasized that an impartial investigation by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) supports the efficacy of the government's measures.
