The Thilamale' Bridge, initiated by the previous government, faced delays in completion. However, under the current administration, the government anticipates project fulfillment by the end of 2026. The contract for the bridge construction has been awarded to India's AFCONS company.

With an estimated cost of $500 million, the Thilamale' Bridge holds significant promise for enhancing connectivity. The Construction Ministry remains optimistic that if the current pace of work is maintained, connectivity could be achieved by February next year, bringing renewed vitality to the region.
