The National Committee, which advises the Election Commission on the Parliamentary elections, has proposed to hold the election from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

This year's parliamentary elections are scheduled to be held on March 17. It is the second week of Ramadan. Therefore, the Election Commission has asked the members of the advisory committee to submit a time they see fit for the elections.

With that, all the political parties and institutions involved in the meeting agreed that the vote should be held from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.

In addition, as this year’s parliamentary elections are held on an official day, the EC has asked the government to make it a public holiday.
