Dubai International Airport is set to regain its full operational capacity within the next 24 hours, according to Majed Al-Joker, the Chief Operating Officer of Dubai Airports. This announcement comes in the wake of heavy rainfall that inundated the United Arab Emirates on Tuesday, causing disruptions to airport operations.

The airport, one of the busiest hubs in the world, had been grappling with a backlog of flights due to the adverse weather conditions. However, Al-Joker assured that normal operations would soon be restored.

In an interview with state news agency WAM on Thursday, Al-Joker stated, "Once operations are back to normal, we will assess the damages and would be able to give [a] figure for the size of losses." He further emphasized the commitment of Dubai Airports to evaluate the situation comprehensively.

The heavy rain had led to challenges in flight scheduling and airport logistics, prompting authorities to implement measures to address the situation swiftly. Despite the setbacks, the airport management remains focused on resuming operations efficiently and minimizing disruptions for passengers and airlines.

As Dubai International Airport works towards restoring its full operational capacity, travelers are advised to stay updated on flight statuses and any further announcements from airport authorities.
