The official inauguration of the People's National Front (PNF) took place amid the chaos that erupted on the evening of the inaugural meeting. Zayn Abdullah Yameen, son of former President Yameen, was elected as the party's president.

Following initial disruptions by the police at Ghiyasuddin International School hall on Tuesday evening, the inauguration ceremony was rescheduled and successfully held later in the evening at the Raalhugandu (Surfing point) area in Male' City.

Amidst the symbolic approval of the party's name, PNF unanimously embraced its official colors, soft green and blue, during the inaugural meeting. The distinctive logo, featuring a star and an open moon, was unveiled, signifying the party's identity and vision.

With a notable attendance of 329 individuals, the founding meeting of the PNF saw the appointment of key office bearers. Zayn Abdullah Yameen was elected as the PNF president, with Maleeh Jamal assuming the role of interim secretary-general, Ahmed Mustafa as interim treasurer, and Ali Shiyan as interim registrar, garnering widespread support from the voting members.

Additionally, President Yameen himself was elected to the PNF Interim Executive Committee, alongside Zayn Abdullah Yameen, Dr. Mohamed Jameel Ahmed, Maleeh, and 17 other esteemed members, forming a robust leadership team comprising a total of 20 members.

During the meeting, the unanimously approved PNF constitution underscored the party's commitment to democratic principles and inclusive governance.

The presence of Former President Yameen's wife, Fathimath Ibrahim, at the inauguration ceremony further highlighted the significance of the occasion.

Following the successful formation of the PNF, President Yameen personally visited the area to extend his gratitude and encouragement to the members, reflecting the collective resolve towards the party's objectives and aspirations.
