Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has reaffirmed his commitment to sending ground forces into Gaza's southern city of Rafah, despite mounting international concern over the safety of Palestinian civilians taking refuge in the area.

During a cabinet meeting, Netanyahu emphasized Israel's determination to achieve its objectives in the ongoing conflict with Hamas militants. He stated, "No amount of international pressure will stop us from realizing all the goals of the war. To do this, we will also operate in Rafah."

Netanyahu's remarks come ahead of discussions within Israel's security and war cabinets regarding the latest international efforts towards a potential truce deal. The Prime Minister's unwavering stance underscores Israel's readiness to escalate its military operations in Gaza despite calls for restraint from the international community.

The threat of a ground offensive in Rafah looms large as Israel continues its retaliatory campaign against Hamas militants. Rafah, now housing nearly 1.5 million displaced Gazans near the Egyptian border, remains a focal point of the conflict.

The toll of the conflict on civilian lives has been significant, with the Gaza health ministry reporting a staggering death toll. According to the ministry, at least 31,645 people, predominantly women and children, have lost their lives as a result of Israel's retaliatory measures against Hamas.
