The Ministry of Education has announced the postponement of second-term tests for grades seven, eight, and nine due to the upcoming parliamentary elections.

Initially scheduled to take place between April 16 and April 25, the second-term examinations have been rescheduled to be held from March 27 to April 25 on official school days. This decision comes in light of the parliamentary elections, which were originally slated for April 17 but were postponed to April 21 following amendments to the Election Act.

In a circular sent to schools, the Education Ministry highlighted the need to adjust the examination dates to avoid clashes with the electoral process. Additionally, schools have been instructed to consult with the focal point appointed by the Election Commission to determine whether the tests can be conducted on Saturday, April 20.

The rescheduling of the second-term tests aims to ensure that students can undertake their examinations without disruption while accommodating the revised election timeline. School administrations are urged to inform students and parents about the updated examination schedule to minimize any inconvenience caused by the changes.
