The Maldivan Democratic Party (MDP) has announced the permanent list of candidates for the upcoming parliamentary elections.

The party said today that the permanent list of voters has been compiled based on complaints against the provisional list of voters.

The MDP had earlier scheduled the primary to be held on the 26th and 27th of this month. However, the date of the primary has been postponed to February 3 due to the availability of school halls.

According to MDP, the party will hold primaries for 43 constituencies, while for 36 constituencies, candidates have been confirmed without a primary.
