The Vice President, Hussain Mohamed Latheef, praised President Dr Mohamed Muizzu's leadership, stating that he consistently listens to and understands the needs of the people of the Maldives.

The Vice President recently published a post on X, stating that President Dr. Muizzu's administration is working towards simplifying various processes for the citizens. The entire government is committed to offering comprehensive services that cater to the needs of the people, and the Vice President assured that the government will always stand by the people.

The vice-president said this while this week’s cabinet meeting announced that the government has decided to implement several measures to enhance convenience for the citizens. Among these measures, the most notable decision includes allowing individuals over the age of 65 and those who need to travel abroad for urgent medical treatment to obtain their passports by submitting an immediate application at the Immigration office during specified times.

In addition, the President has asked government agencies to reform the existing rules for bringing patients from the provinces to Male' in emergencies. The order by Dr. Mohamed Muizzu is also noteworthy.
