Urbanco and the Ministry of Tourism have signed an agreement to develop a tourist beach in Hulhumale'.

The agreement was signed by Urbanco Managing Director Ahmed Atif on behalf of the company. Permanent Secretary Fatima Nilfa signed on behalf of the Ministry of Tourism.

Under the agreement, tourists will be able to move around Hulhumale' under a separate arrangement and the public will be able to use the beach comfortably, stated the Minister of Tourism, Dr. Abdullah Masoom. According to the Minister, a technical team from the Ministry of Tourism and Urbanco are working together to design the beach area.



The decision to build a specific beach area for tourists in Hulhumale' comes amid growing public concerns about tourists wearing revealing clothes in public. Urbanco said the project will address public complaints.

There are already several guesthouses in the rapidly developing Hulhumale'. With that, tourist activity has also increased. Therefore, developing a tourist beach is expected to enhance tourist experiences in Hulhumale and Greater Male areas.
