October 22, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 55 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 21 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 34 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 13 people are positive from operational resorts, and 21 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 86,605 cases, including 1,322 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,063 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 112 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 85,030.

According to HPA, there are 18 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 240 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 393,946 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 353,773 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
