October 12, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 110 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 26 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 84 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 09 people are positive from operational resorts, and 75 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 85,732 cases, including 1,192 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 3,898 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 122 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 84,292.

According to HPA, there are 13 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 235 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 393,344 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 347,558 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
