September 21, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 220 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 45 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 175 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 05 people are positive from operational resorts, and 164 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 83,875 cases, including 1,694 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 5,166 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 135 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 81,939.

According to HPA, there are 20 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 229 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 391,153 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 332,529 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
