France's Interior Minister, Gerald Darmanin, has strongly denounced what he described as "unacceptable acts" targeting the Muslim community after a disturbing incident involving a boar head near a mosque in the eastern part of the country.

According to reports, worshippers at a mosque in the village of Contrexeville, located in the Vosges region, were shocked to discover the head of a boar near their place of worship on Friday. Subsequently, a probe into "incitement to racial hatred" was initiated by prosecutors.

Speaking out against the reprehensible acts, Minister Darmanin revealed that two other mosques, situated in northern France in Valenciennes and Fresnes-sur-Escaut, were also subjected to acts of vandalism over the weekend. Expressing his condemnation on social media platform X, formerly Twitter, Darmanin emphasized his firm stance against such offenses targeting the Muslim community.

The incidents have occurred against the backdrop of the Islamic holy month of Ramadan, a period marked by fasting from dawn until dusk and intensified prayers for believers. The timing of these incidents adds to the distress and concerns within the Muslim community as they observe their religious practices during this sacred time.
