July 20, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 169 additional cases of Covid-19.

The total positive cases recorded include 24 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 145 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 15 people are positive from operational resorts, and 127 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 76,188 cases, including 2,619 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 4,932 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 19 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 73,340.

According to HPA, there are 08 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 217 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 320,887 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 259,761 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
