April 13, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) of the Maldives has reported 58 additional cases of Covid-19 within 24 hours.

The total positive cases recorded include 36 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 22 people infected outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 11 people are positive from operational resorts, and 11 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 25,759 cases, including 2,702 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 2,645 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 95 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 22,981.

According to HPA, there are 62 patients admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 67 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, HPA has reported over 270,000 people across the Maldives have received the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive.
