Maldives Meteorological service issued a white alert for the majority part of the country due to heavy rain, thunderstorms and strong winds with rough seas.
Maldives Meteorological reports show scattered rain with isolated heavy showers and thunderstorms in central and northern atolls. As per the reports, strong winds of 19 – 24 mph and gusts of 45 mph with rough seas is expected. Seas are expected to be moderate becoming rough during showers in central and northern atolls.
White alert is issued from morning 10:30 till 4:30pm covering a large part of the country from northern most, H.A atoll to Dhaalu atoll.
All are advised to be cautious of weather change, especially during any sea transportation.
