The Health Protection Agency (HPA) has lifted the curfew imposed on the greater Male’ area.

The announcement released by HPA today reads that the curfew imposed from 11:00 pm till 04:30 am, to the greater Male’ area, including, Male’, Hulhumale’, Vilingili, Thilafushi, Gulheefalhu, and Hulhule’ island is lifted from today onwards, until further notice.

In addition to this, HPA has approved to reopen Cinema's/movie theaters, pre-schools, nurseries, daycare centers, in line with HPA guidelines. HPA has also approved the reopening of gyms, aerobics classes, and running tracks, in line with HPA guidelines.

With the recent announcement, HPA re-assigned the opening hours for café and restaurants, and other such establishments to the relevant authorities.

The curfew was lifted with ease on restriction order, which was signed by the Director-General of Public Health Maimoona Aboobakuru.
