High court schedules the final hearing and verdict announcement for the Government appealed cases against former vice president Mr Adeeb.

The dismissed cases against corruption in Maldives Marketing and Public Relation have been appealed by the government at the high court. The final hearing for this appeal was continued on 15th of this month.at the high court.

During the last court hearing, Adeeb confirms to give full support to the high court investigations and the lawyer representing the government said that the criminal court ruling was against the constituency as mutual understanding pleas can be signed in order to further investigate the case. Initially the criminal court ruled out the dismissal of the cases against Mr Adeeb, after he told the court that he was forced to sign a plea deal in exchange for medical furlough, for which Mr Adeeb disagreed at the high court.

The High Court schedules the final hearing and verdict announcement for today 2pm.
