Bank of Maldives has been awarded the “Outstanding Achievement of the Year in Financial Inclusion” by Qorus, a leading international platform that recognizes excellence in the global financial sector. The award was presented at the Reinvent Forum Dubai 2025.

The recognition was given for the Bank’s nationwide initiative, *Mulhi Raajje ah BML ATM*, completed on 28 October 2025. Through the project, BML established Self-Service Banking units on every inhabited island in the country, ensuring universal access to essential banking services. The initiative delivered ATM services to 105 islands within nine months, significantly improving financial accessibility for communities across the Maldives.

BML CEO and Managing Director Mohamed Shareef said the award reflects the Bank’s dedication to expanding banking access nationwide. He noted that being present in every inhabited island marks a major milestone and reaffirmed the Bank’s commitment to further enhancing its services.

Qorus is a globally trusted organization representing a community of 1,200 financial institutions across more than 120 countries.

BML remains the country’s leading financial institution, operating 42 branches across all 20 atolls, along with 202 Self-Service Banking Centres, 262 ATMs, and a wide range of digital banking services.
