President Dr. Mohamed Muizzu has assured the residents of Holhudhoo that the Government will take all necessary steps to ensure a full and transparent investigation into the death of Zakiyya Moosa.
The President made the pledge during his visit to the island, after being met by residents who appealed for justice upon his arrival. He personally met with concerned individuals, including members of Zakiyya’s family, outside the Secretariat of the Holhudhoo Island Council.
During these individual meetings, President Muizzu listened attentively to the concerns raised and sought further clarification regarding the circumstances of the case. He reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to handling the investigation with complete transparency and without any form of obstruction.
