September 12, the Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 138 additional cases of Covid-19.

The recorded positive cases include 51 people infected in the greater Male’ area and 87 people outside the greater Male’ area. Out of this, 15 people are positive from operational resorts, and 72 people are positive from inhabited islands.

With additional cases of the Covid-19, confirmed cases in the Maldives have increased up to 82,822 cases, including 2,037 active cases to Covid-19.

So far, HPA has taken 5,602 test samples within the last 24 hours.

HPA also reported that 171 people have recovered in the last 24 hours, which increases the total recoveries to 80,545.

According to HPA, there are 17 admitted to hospitals, and the Maldives has recorded 227 deaths from Covid-19 complications.

In addition to this, a total of 388,776 people across the Maldives have received the first dose of the Covid-19 vaccine from the nationwide inoculation drive. Out of which, 319,080 people have received the second dose of the Covid-19 vaccine.
