The Ministry of Social Development has urged the public to refrain from sharing any information that could compromise the dignity of children.

In a statement, the ministry expressed concern over the increasing number of social media posts featuring photos and videos that reveal children’s personal details, which is a violation of their rights.

Citing Article 33 of the Children’s Rights Protection Act, the ministry emphasized that names, addresses, school details, photographs, or any other identifying information about children must not be published in any form of media.

The ministry further noted that some of the content circulating online has made it possible to identify children, potentially putting them at risk. As a result, it has urged media outlets and individuals to exercise caution and avoid sharing such material.
